I got a good deal on an '08 wagon (the 2.3T 4-cyl) with automatic and around 70k miles back in 2015 for around $11k. It was in pristine condition with all repair records available so that was a good deal at the time. Now, 4 years later, I would expect you would have a hard time finding one under 100k miles and as such, the price should be significantly less with depreciation. If it was well cared for, that engine should go for 250,000 miles with routine maintenance (my 2000 9-3 has almost that many miles now with no engine issues, just normal wear and tear).
The only things that I have had to replace on the wagon are the rear springs got a bit saggy a couple of years back and needed to be replaced. The heater bypass valve went out, but that is common. Other than that, just normal maintenance.
