Yes, you can. You don't have to take a lot off, BUT there might be a scraped knuckle.
The sensor is very accessible, but the wire has a "hidden" clip that anchors it to the hard steel coolant pipe which runs along the front of the engine and turns the corner on the driver's left end of the engine. The other tricky thing is getting the connector disconnected. A little spray silicone is your friend in getting the clip to pop apart. It is more "fiddly" because the connector for the sensor is clipped into a steel support (upper back side of the engine).
You can gain more access for that clip by removing the battery - which also takes care of the general rule of battery disconnection before any electrical / sensor work. I know a lot of folks skip that and get away with it, but one does so at some added risk of an issue.
I'm assuming an automatic trans ? If so, it's advisable to gently disconnect the brake vacuum lines (made of hard plastic) from the throttle body and the vacuum pump on the end of the engine before you work on the O2 sensor connector, so that you don't accidentally break the brake vacuum lines. You won't need to ask how I know this part . . . .
Check out WIS online, do a Google search, and you should be fine.
