Changed out the clock-spring today on my 2005 9-5 wagon.
Yay! Had procrastinated because I was scared stiff of the air bag but it really is not bad. My worry was not justified.
If you do this I would warn that removal procedure on the '06 and above - as detailed on the very good Trionic-7 You tube video - is quite different to what I struck in the '05.
The removal of the steering wheel is different but the interal connectors are the same deal.

It is not hard to work out though - amateur here - if you have watched that video first.
There are a few potential pitfalls in the sheer delicacy of the lock-tabs on the connectors but overall is not too bad. Took me a bit over an hour with slow, deliberate care taken along with a couple of interruptions. Slow and steady wins th race, as they say.

Did not get a CEL, so I was lucky and I now have the horn back, although not perfect mind you, but its now a very usable horn. (Wondering why it is not perfect....Probably just that the part I installed is heading the same way as the one I took out.)

Hope this helps someone one day. Someone that can find a clock-spring that is.
Gonna go now and honk at a pedestrian or bicyclist just to celebrate.
