The problem is that the system thinks the level adjustment switch or wiring has an open, when it seems not to be. I don't have an OEM left side module that speaks to anything, so I need get one before I go further.
It also appears I need a clock spring too. The electronics on these 15 year old cars drive me buggy. My nearly 20 year old 3 series BMW on the other hand is perfect. No gremlins except once in a while with the key. This 9-5 has been mildly problematic ever since I got it, and now it's downright frustrating and potentially costly.
