Agree - When I geot my 00 9-5 the only problems were tire pressure and a small alingment issue. Both were fixed quickly and have had zero problems since. This is a major contrast to my other SAAB - a 1990 900. I got it new and was visiting the dealer every week with an array of electrical problems. I still have the 900 and it has been an extreemly reliable car once it got over its pediatric problems.
As you can tell from the postings on this site, the 9-5 is a very well built car the pediatric problems have all been pretty minor (except for some early production issues in '99), and readily fixed, except for the infamous fuel tank sloshing/clunk. My '00 9-5 has the sloshing "problem", but I have become completely insensitive to it.
Make sure you have the dealer spend a lot of time explaining the controls, trip computer etc. Have fun.
