I called SAAB USA and asked about the waranty issues a few weeks ago. They said that the waranty would not be void, but any part that was changed would not be covered (ex exhaust).
They also said that if it is determined that the modification caused a failure of any component, the component would not be covered.
I asked who determines if the modification caused the failure and they said the dealer does. They also advised that a serious (almost 100 HP) increase in power could cause driveline component failure that would not be covered. This worried me.
I have the SAABUSA case number for my above question and I was thinking of calling wigwam saab back to have them talk to saabusa about it.
Incidently I have another case open with SAABUSA because my car pulls to the left. I asked the gentleman, Byron, to look into the reprogrammed ECU by wigwam for me as well. He took about a day and when he got back to me said that any failures caused by the modification would not be covered by the waranty. So I was sufficiently scared that my dealer here in MI would not cover any driveline failures caused by the NORDIC kit. I decided against it.
