First, you setup the ACC the way you want it to be on startup. For example, if you don't want the ACC on, you press the OFF button. Now the whole ACC is off. Then, to save this setting for the next time the car is started, you press the defroster (top right button) and OFF button (lower right button) at the same time. The ACC display will dim then light back up. This shows you that the setting has been saved. The next time you start the car, the ACC will be OFF.
