$250 USD sounds about right - it used to be a $300 USD factory option on Audis, but now it comes standard (in the USA). (BTW, it would be nice if you would indicate what monetary unit you are talking about, since this is an international forum.)

I have HomeLink installed in an A4 1.8T and it is pretty nice. Easy to program, with three buttons, so you can control three seperate doors....or two and a remote switch. I like the integration into the interior - it is unobtrusive and right over the driver. Range is about 35 feet.

It is wired through the ignition switch, so if your car is outside and is broken into, the cretin will not be able to open your garage door, as he would be able to with a regular remote.
