I suspect the "relay" is the the end of the antenna lead out of the XM receiver. It is small box that has a female and a male end. The car's antenna is plugged into the female end of the box and the male end goes into the radio.

Saab is buying the kits directly from XM and the only difference in the kit should be the face plate to mount the controller.
