I can immagine that you will miss the performance
of a tuned S4, but if you don't chip the TT you
will quickly notice that the Aero and TT a very
similar in performance. ( If your Aero is a 5spd )
Obviously the TT is lighter and should be more fun
to drive on a twisted road... then again none has
managed to out pace my aero yet.
The only 1.8L Audi that managed to be a bit faster
then my Aero has been an S3 with the 250Hp upgrade
from ABT. Even with this 6 car lenghts was all he
could achieve on the Autobahn as by then we would
both be close to top speed anyways.
My advise is that you change the oil at 2000 miles and
put in some 5w-40 Synth. Be progressive while you break
in the engine, increase max RPM and boost every 200 miles
by 500 rpm starting at MAX of 3500 rpm. If you do that you
will get a Aero engine that works very well and burns little
fuel.
The other thing would be tire pressures, put 2.6 Bars front
and 2.45 Bars in the rear tires to avoid that the car is
nervous at high speeds.
As soon as you can you should replace the Pilot HX tires with
a set of Dunlops SP9000s, I did that and it's a huge improvement
in noise and ride quality.
ALWAYS use highest Octane fuel you can get (93-94 , Euro98), this
is even more important if you drive at altitude as the Aero T7
ECU compensates missing O2 by increasing boost. The Aero will
keep all it's HP and torque up to 10'000 feet up.
Enjoy your Aero.
