Hello; I live in Denver (morning temps range from 0ºF to 35ºF)and I am still having this recurring problem when city driving for (+-)15min. after a cold start(more pronounced below freezing) with complete loss of power on acceleration in 1st & 2nd gear (a little in 3rd)--this continues even after engine gets hot. I recently had new vacuum hoses, the AMM, AIC, O2 sensor checked and recalibrated but to no avail--I believe I have narrowed it down to the transmission as the engine revs like crazy if you push in the clutch during this "bogging" down, yet it feels like there's no gas when accelerating with gears engaged. Coasts fine in 3rd, 4th & 5th and shifts smooth always, regardless of temp. Runs perfect for the rest of the day after first 15 min. (unless allowed to cool down again if really cold out). My shop said they used Valvoline 75w gear oil with a BG additive. What could it be?; should I insist on a different gear box oil?
Thanks! --Tim, '87 900S, 109K
