Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help or advice. I have a '93 900s w/ app. 115k on it; Body in very good condition. The starter went, and my mechanic says he doesn't feel so comfortable fixing it since everything else is going to start going soon too. The thing is... I've put alot of money into the car over the last 2 years and am unsure if I feel like letting go. My question is therefore twofold:
1) do you think it's something worth fixing? (the charge would be app. $400)
2) Can I fix this myself, and if so how?
I am pretty handy, really good at following directions, and feel completely comfortable using tools, so if it's not too complicated I would be fine trying. But, as with many things on the saab, I feel it might be too tough for a non-mechanic.
thoughts anyone?
