OK Justin, I see that possibility now. Just need to hold those nuts in place while backing out the bolt from flywheel side. Of course, that should work. I was fretting about getting an actual socket on it, but don't have to.
I have read many more posts and see that pulling out the intercooler and pipes may be very helpful, to get to two of the 10mm shroud screws, so that I can pull that shroud well forward and work a combo wrench on those bolts. Not absolutely necessary, but I am not in a hurry. Did you reverse the process when re installing those 17mm nuts, just hold the big nuts in place and screw the bolts into them? Maybe I will use tape and an end wrench to keep them in plac just long enough to get bolts started.
I see that the diptick tube and the two oil cooler pipes may block pulling the starter back, down and then out, how did you handle that?
Thanks so much!
