isn't the tack basically instantaneous? it's essentially spray on contact cement... so I wonder if the sand would help (I did try pressing + holding those divots in but they popped back)... I might try it next time though... it is a good idea... is that how you did it? or did you have a different glue? I used 3M, I think 90 (not the 77 or whatever, but the stronger more heat tolerant stuff)...
