So are the rights to the B202 & B212, etc, still with whatever's left of SAAB? It seems to me that those engine platforms might still have life in them. Consider the refusal of the LA small block Chrysler v8s to go away, despite radical redesigns of the vehicles they power. I can see that it would be impractical to start producing 900s or 900 parts based on whatever docs or tooling is left, but it seems like at least the engine designs might be worth something to someone.
