my 78 4 speed is doing 3500-4000 rpm on the hwy.
I know that sounds crazy, but it does cruise well at that speed, esp w/ a front air dam!
it's a 99ems, but i think the 4 speed box was available on an early 900.
My friend had a 78 900T 4spd that he swears was the best SAAB he had owned.
I want to keep the ems original, so no 5 speed swap.
Besides, this SAAB drives better than any of the 900's i have owned or driven my friend's cars. (uh...like 5?).
Just sayin. I think it's more fun. In my mind the 4 speed has something to do w/ that.
at any rate, it has always amazed me how well these engines take high revving.
