SO, looking at all the different Bosch injectors out there, it is quite clear that little differences in flow and impedance are important to consider. Having said that, we arrive at what got me scratching my head last night.
I have a 91 2.1 liter engined base model, naturally aspirated, as the 2,1 part denotes. Now, I know that a higher fuel flow would have to be matched by increased air flow, but if one were to use, say, a turbo injector on an N/A motor, what would the engine management computer do with this scenario? Reduced duty cycle as indicated by the O2 sensor? Would the injector drivers be able to deal with this scenario? What about slight differences in injector impedance?
This is more of a curiosity than something I am truly considering as a modification. A conversation topic, and an attempt to better understand what the tolerances of the factory engine management are when faced with such changes. I will say that for an N/A motor, Saabs have always impressed me. Torquey and robust.
