Here is my 2 cents:
I am trying to bring back a very hard dried out interior. This has been a multi year project. The comments below reflect restoring an interior, not maintaining a nice interior. I've tried Leatherique and Lexol. For "maintenance" I think both are probably OK.
Leatherique gets a LOT of positive reviews online. Leatherique is a two part system. A "cleaner" and a conditioner. They have detailed instructions and I have followed their instructions exactly. Some of the reviews and certainly Leatherique's web site make it seem like it is a miracle cure. My experience has not been so good.
My experience with Lexol is a little better but not much. Lexol is probably best known for its conditioner although they also make a cleaner. I see little value for the cleaner. Both come in a spray bottle but the cleaner is really too thick for the spray bottle to be effective.
I've tried both products on a warm car on a sunny day and have not had much success. (And let me tell you it's no fun apply the products inside of a hot car) The best thing I've found so far is to take the interior out of the car and place it inside my house. I then apply the product with a paint brush, let it soak in, wipe it down and repeat. Repeat 4 or 5 times. I took a rear seat bottom and did one half with Leatherique and one half with Lexol and really can't tell the difference between the two.
If you rate an interior on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is factory new and 10 is junkyard, I've taken an interior that is about an 8 and made it a 6. Can't get anywhere close to 1. I think the best combination might be Lexol conditioner and Leatherique cleaner. However being that Leatherique products are so expensive it might not be worth the extra money over Lexol.
