Darn if I can get that black plastic cover off the front (or back) of the alternator. I have removed belts moved the alternator as far as I can both ways and the cover still won't come off. Also even if I removed the oil filter it seems to br the filter mount that is stopping the cover from coming off. I am close to removing the alternator, and repl;acing it with a new one I have then repairing the brushed on the old alternator, out of the car. I hate the alternator mount bracket as it has to be turned to remove the long alternator base mount bolt, but at this point it is looking toe the best approch unless someone can tell me how to get that plastic cover to slip out from the alternator. Thanks
