PS Return Line - Access From Top?

So. Instead of replacing my PS return line when I had the rack out for replacement a couple of months ago, I waited till now to realize its oozing at the hardline/softline union.

Now's the question: Since I need to remove the alternator anyway, is it conceivable to access the hose/rack junction from the top easily? Just trying to cut corners here and not remove the feed line etc...
