I second charging system issue diagnosis. Try searching this BB or your favourite manual for charging failure troubleshooting procedures: from voltage regulator thru its energizing wire to power wires (and their connectors) incl alt ground wire and finally to battery which may be just shorting your on-board electrics and eating all the electric power.
