C900 Bulletin Board 1979-1993 & 94 Conv | |
So I posted about a month or so ago about shaking in the front end. And a big click when turning sharp in reverse. Since then, I have replaced both front hubs, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, all ball joints, upper pass control arm bushings, pass side inner driver, pass side CVs, and aligned. The click is gone (that must have been the hubs - thanks guys for the call on that one), but the shaking is still there. I can hit the turbo hard in second and there is no shake, but in 3rd and 4th, it's almost like a wobble more than a shake. I've checked just about everything I could. Control arms were a little loose - tightened them down. Pass inner driver was badly worn where the shaft connects to the tranny at the tip - not in the cups. Weird, I know. And once I got the new hubs on, the camber was so off, you could see it. It took the alignment guys an hour and a half to get just the front camber right.
Any other ideas where to look for that shake/wobble? It's only under boost now when boosting hard.
