Check the neg cable Posted by Bob_SAAB_101 [Email] (#460) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bob_SAAB_101) on Sat, 11 May 2013 17:45:45 In Reply to: Re: battery is sound, bill schultz [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 6 May 2013 15:59:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had an issue similar to yours. I thought the battery was going so I had it tested at azone. It checked good so I drove the car.
Next day I can't start, totally dead. I knew that the neg battery cable attaches at the engine and frame and I always wondered if that was stressful at the engine connection, with all the engine vibration and all.
Anyway, I took a battery jumper cable and jumped the neg battery terminal to the engine block and it started right up. It seems that the neg battery cable had worn out from the vibration. New cable and all is well.
Worth a try!
