It does seem like it is seized in the housing. I'll just have to keep adding lube and hope it releases. If not I'll have to drill it out I'm afraid. Hate to do it because they aren't making any more of these.
My other thought was, take out the entire shifter assembly and totally soak it in oil, at least dip the lock part in oil. I did that once with an antique adding machine (comptometer) and everything freed up after a week of soaking. The thing that gives me hope is that the key worked without problems until I packed up for the winter. Normally in the winter I start it a few times but this year no, that is probably why.
