I'd be a little nervous about a temperature needle climbing that high, especially in traffic. I'd fear that high temps like that will present you with a head-gasket failure (and maybe a warped head) at some point very soon.
During the hot summer months in Los Angeles where I live, my temperatures rarely get above half-way on both my 92 900S and the 87 Turbo.
A new radiator a couple of years ago in the 87 created a noticeably lower overall running temperature. I included new Wahler 82-degree thermostat and fan switch (all from eEuro: Fan switch: 854757282, thermostat: 8817538A, radiator 64059A). I've been very happy with the results.
My 92 is still using the original radiator and I haven't yet touched the thermostat or radiator switch on that car. But sometime this summer, I'm planning to replace all when the engine comes out for a transmission rebuild.
