So you have to buy a new check valve from some place. Then you have to attach it to the line.
There is a number of ways to skin this cat. Some people cut the line off (there's enough slack in it) and then soften the line with boiling water and shove the new check valve into the line. This is really hard. The line doesn't like to stretch enough for the new check valve to fit in. Some people grind down the barb of the new check valve to fit more easily in the line. I don't recommend this, because you could introduce leaks if you did a bad job grinding. Maybe could do it if you had a lathe...
I recommend breaking/cutting the old check valve flush with the end of the line, so you have the line, with a the old barb of the check valve inside it. Then buy a few inches of rubber fuel injection hose (NOT just ordinary carburetor fuel hose. Get the stuff that's rated for injection - to 100psi or more) and four hose clamps. Hose clamp the hose to the outside of the hose with the old barb stub inside it using two of the hose clamps. Then do the same thing on the new check valve. And you're done. This is completely safe. Fuel injection isn't more than 100psi, which is totally fine for rubber hose and double hose clamps. This method is approved by the DOT inspection regulations in any New England state in which I have lived. Also it is worth pointing out that the connection to the fuel pressure regulator under the hood is held on with only one hose clamp, so this repair is stronger than that original connection. It's easier and it will save you time and hassle.
