Steering wheel bushing Posted by Bob_SAAB_101 [Email] (#460) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bob_SAAB_101) on Tue, 18 Oct 2016 20:36:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi all:
I have the loose steering wheel, which I assume is the bushing. (94 classic vert)
The wheel moves up about a half inch it seems. I can still drive it as long as I keep pressure on the wheel to hold it down.
I'm wondering is there is some cheat fix (hack). I was thinking of maybe cutting the a new bushing in half and pushing it in some how. Is this possible? Is there something else I can do?
I'm wary of doing it the right way as I've never successfully taken a clockspring off and can't see why I would be successful now.
Anyone do this job? all suggestions welcome!
