but it looks hard to install? (that is a lot of glueing + trimming over a complex shape)... plus it is for a right-hand drive car.
I have had similar experiences over the years--- I have an '87, dash developed bad cracks after 10-12 years, even though car was mostly garaged. In 2003 I replaced the dash with a pristine unit recovered from an '85 (eBay,$250). It lasted 6 yrs, then developed cracks. I had my original recovered in 2009 by Dashboard Restorations for about $600. It took 6 mos or so to get it back, it seemed to be a 1-man operation working out of his home? Result was quite good, it's not the same as stock but looks similar and did not require any trimming. I still have it installed, no cracks or bulges after 7 years, and car is mostly not garaged...
I have seen examples from Just Dashes (not on Saabs, but lots of 60's muscle cars), and they do a top notch job. I was quoted something like $2K back in 2009?
