The turbos were LH2.2 -88. From 89-94 they're LH2.4. The -570 in 89 is notorious for running badly. I think it comes on rapidly. Numerous posts about it in past years. I've had two 1989 cars. One was a non-turbo. Both came with full service histories. Both had to replace the ECU @ roughly 150K. My 89T came a refurbished -570. Had a black case rather than the OE silver box. I put in a -948 and it's been fine for 5 years. Everything I've read is they are interchangeable with the -570.
