You have a valid point on the vibration transfer with the solid mounts vs the hydraulic. Being more concerned about performance, I choose the solid one, and do have to fight some vibratory issues. The tradeoff I make is more solid shift feel, and when the engine / chassis is better connected, they become more of a unit during accell/ braking in corners, etc. It's all a matter of what you feel comfortable with.
Being that 4 cylinder engines are only balanced in the primary moments of inertia, you'll always have a propensity for vibration. The balance shaft "fix" is just a bandaid, not something that the complexity overrides the benefit.
