Quick rear brake question Posted by Ken [Email] (#2113) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ken) on Wed, 8 Mar 2017 17:20:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Put pads and rotors on the rear of my 92 turbo. Installation went smoothly. As instructed by the Bentley and Townsend I turned the 4mm internal hex screw in until the rotor would not turn. Then backed off 1/2 turn so the rotor would turn, but there was a lot of drag, which Townsend says you're not supposed to have. I had to back off 2 full turns to get to a point where I had no drag. But it was also where I had no parking brake! Guess I need to get back under there and make sure the parking brake arm only moves 3/8". Some scraping or drab is inevitable I guess... Did anyone else experience this?
Aside from that, the Townsend/Bentley combo is unbeatable.
