I guess I would say that there are definitely more o-rings than that in the system. However, what I always do is just buy a kit with lots of o-rings and then size them up by eye. Last time I did this I used the GPD 1321298 kit from Rock auto. The ones that won't come with the kit are the compressor o-rings, which are huge. Those are probably the 20x3.5mm ones you have there. Unfortunately they're also the ones that you really can't reuse.
If you're going to the trouble to change the o-rings and you're planning on replacing the dryer anyway, I suggest a leak test beforehand. You might find you have a bad hose as well and can save work by doing everything at once. Often the manifold hose leaks at the joints where it's crimped onto the aluminum pipe. If you still have the old R12 system, you can fill it with compressed air or propane from a bbq tank and then spray the hoses with dilute dish soap and look for bubbles much the way you'd diagnose a flat tire. Unfortunately R134A oil is hydroscopic so you have to test it by dumping in refrigerant, which isn't nice, or vacuum pump + precise gauge, which is expensive.
That said, I'll do my plug for not converting to R134A, but using butane/propane instead. As a chemist by trade I can say, these halogenated hydrocarbons give me the heebie jebies. Give me alkanes any day. They're approved for auto A/C in other countries now anyway, and the amounts are so small that the safety risk is negligible. I use a mix of propane and isobutane (basically backpacking stove fuel + bbq gas) in mine. Works great with R12 oil. You can get it pre-mixed under the name Duracool or Enviro-Safe. I prefer to make my own blend from MSR Isopro and BBQ gas.
Weird that you only got one fan to go on, but the compressor kicked in this time. Could be corrosion on the connectors as you say. I forget which fan is which.
