I hope someone here can help me with this problem. Here's a rundown of what has led to this.
For some time I have noticed the ABS pressure accumulator giving it's customary signs of failure, but the car worked well enough. Well, today I decided to give the system a flush with fresh fluid. All went well and it was nice to see fresh fluid flowing from each bleeder screw. Now, an hour into regular driving, the Antilock light and the brake fluid light both come on and STAY on. The pump is running continuously. The brakes themselves have good power assistance, but regardless, I am sidelining the car until I devise a solution.
I am unsure what this latest development indicates. THe pump must be making pressure, as the brakes feel great , but that the lights stay on continuously is worrying. Do I just need to pony up and buy an accumulator, or is there more to this than it seems?
Advice is appreciated.
Thanks.
