So to get this straight, when you jumper the pressure switch at the receiver dryer, the compressor kicks on, the left fan kicks on, but the right fan does not?
If you've got the compressor working, the right fan SHOULD be receiving voltage from the same source as the compressor. This is the fan that should go on when your engine gets warm. Does it?
I like the Envirosafe product better than the Duracool product, because Envirosafe has a better MSDS with a clearer picture of what is in their product (including CAS numbers, for clarity). Also it smells nice. However, I would suggest that you not add any of that universal oil from Envirosafe. It looks like that's ester oil, which is hygroscopic and normally used for R134A conversions. Since you have a virgin R12 system, I would keep it that way, and add R12 oil if needed, because this will work fine with the Envirosafe propane-butane mix.
Although the refrigerant may have leaked out due to bad hoses, o-rings, etc, I have not seen oil leak out enough to justify adding much oil - UNLESS you have a big catastrophic leak (like from a crash or some idiot removing the line connections while the system is pressurized). A lot of oil stays in the compressor, and this is likely enough to keep everything happy. If it makes you feel better, you could add about 1/8 cup of R12 mineral oil. A quart of this should cost under $10 but Autozone appears to only have it in gallons. Santech MT3047. I got mine from Napa (part number TEM 209500) but that was years ago. Probably normal engine oil (straight weight 20 like for a lawn mower) is also fine.
A final note: If you end up changing the compressor, who knows what oil it will come with. It will probably come with ester oil. Again, I prefer mineral oil because it's not hygroscopic, which allows you to do leak tests with compressed air and open your system for prolonged periods of time without having to worry about the stuff absorbing water from the air. That's why I rebuild my own compressors. When I do, I throw in about 3/4 cup of oil. You can also get all the parts you need to rebuild a compressor from Autozone, as I did.
Sorry I wrote so much... been preaching the gospel of alternative refrigeration since I was converted by an Australian engineer friend back in 2009.
