Well, it's Sunday evening, and though I expected to be taking a spin, still no start. Beginning to think it's the LH unit after all???
I replaced the fuel pump, expecting that that wouldn't be the fix as I've heard it run but thought it was just under pressurizing.
I then followed your advice, and replaced the fuel filter, and also replaced the pressure regulator (I'm convinced that the regulator was in fact bad as I can blow through the old one, so it seems to have in-fact failed open.) When disconnecting the old FF, I had no pressure at the pump side of the Filter, so I was banking on the regulator.
Buttoned the whole kit up again, and I can hear fuel flow after the regulator opens after a second or two of the pump running, so I'm convinced that's now fixed, but nothing but cranking, and still no start.
Just checked voltages to the pump during cranking (I don't have a spare set of hands, nor ears) to confirm the pump is running when cranking). I do have pump power during start.
Getting ready to find a new shop...
