Timely post, I'm going to check my fan connections this weekend. Car ('89 900 NA)) ran solid with temp gauge at 3-4 pm when I got it back in May, has been rising to 1:00 or so in recent 90 degree weather Oddly, it doesn't stay that "high" continuously, it will periodically dip back to 2:00 or so. Wonder if those cooler spells might be when the fans (belatedly) kick in? Hard to tell when at road speed, and fans almost invariably on when I shut it down. I was thinking it was a bad or going bad radiator (no record of replacement in last 11 years for which I have records) but corroded connections make as much sense. I'll report back when the experiment is complete.
