I * believe* Federal law requires cats to have a five year warranty. Usually getting warranty on a cat is very difficult, but if the substrate is clean and not melted and the case is not physically damaged you can almost certainly get that covered through Magnaflow.
That said, these cats are usually called "two year cats" because that is typically how long they last. The "special" California and New York cats have who-knows-what going on with them but *must* last five years in order to get that cert. That doesn't help you, just some trivia.
