Electronic Chirp Noise in Cabin Posted by Matt Grimes [Email] (#2198) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Matt Grimes) on Thu, 17 Aug 2017 12:50:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I’ve noticed an electronic “chirp” noise coming from inside the cabin. It seems to chirp once every few minutes or so. It’s only been in the periphery of my awareness since the majority of my drives have been with the top down and it’s barely noticeable to my ears. I have a high frequency hearing loss so it’s tough to distinguish, let alone localize, sounds like that. Today I drove the Saab into work with the top up and was able to readily confirm that “yeah…there is really something there, and it is repeating itself”.
Presumably it is some kind of alarm notification. There are no idiot lights illuminated on the dash. My seat belt is fastened…so I am unsure what to think about this “chirp”. Any advice from you long term Saab owners?
