Splicing cruise control lines from turn signal stalk Posted by Arabiflora [Email] (#1129) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Arabiflora) on Thu, 24 Aug 2017 21:11:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I think I know the answer but would like some reassurance. I'm attempting to replace the turn signal stalk on my '89 C900 with one I had salvaged from my '88. Both units have/had cruise control, but the wiring harness/connector is more block-like on the '89 versus the flat four connector used on the '88. In both cases there are 4 wires: red, green, yellow and brown. My inclination is simply to splice the feed wires from the '88 stalk onto those of the '89-- green to green, red to red, etc. using crimpable butt splices.
I don't know what motivated the change in connector harness 88 - 89, but is there any reason to think the color scheme would have been changed, as well?
