If it's leaking under the engine, it's either the line or the slave. The line is a $50 part, but a PITA to replace.
Unless you're very experienced with 900's, the slave is a pro job. I just had mine done. And if you do and you don't know the condition of the clutch components, I'd go ahead and put in a a clutch kit at the same time.
My bill was over $1,000, so you need to consider how long you plan to keep this 'free' car and how much you're willing to spend on it.
