Hello,
It is possible the engine computer is not coming on when cranking. This would not pull down the fuel pump relay. I would check the ground lugs on the head near injector number 4 first. If they look good clean them up anyway and try again. If that doesn't work you will have to see if you have +15 power coming out of the ignition switch when cranking. I have seen this happen many times. I have one customer that usually his car will finally start running when you give up on starting it and let the ignition switch go to the run position.
