My take on KBB and NADA Posted by Scott Paterson [Email] (#13) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Scott Paterson) on Wed, 27 Sep 2017 14:24:10 In Reply to: NADA?, Norval99 [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 27 Sep 2017 11:16:59 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
NADA and KBB rely on information provided by manufacturers as well, as I have learned and since Saab is out of business, these two sources for pricing are no longer receiving any data from Saab therefore they no longer provide valid values for Saabs. It's ridiculously low. For NADA, take my 2005 9-2X Aero that was totaled last year. According NADA, my Saab was worth (range from rough trade in to clean retail - and my Saab had its share of dings but was a solid driver when it got hit by a guy who ran a stop sign):
$3,025
$3,825
$4,475
$6,500
My insurance company paid out $10,200 for it. Please, there is no possible way that NADA can explain how far off their values are other than they are no longer maintaining valid data for Saabs, period.
