sour exaust smell - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have replaced Cat. converter. on my 900CE and I still have an H2S smell emanating from the car. While driving I have noticed a backing down coming from exhaust.I know it means leaky exhaust valves.Wonder if that could be causing the problem and if so should I get a valve job or buy a rebuilt engine. I know that is quite a jump but it is a perfect Collectors Addition. 1994 convertible with 84K on it. I am the second owner . The first was a Saab dealer who used it for his personal car,put on 80k and put it in storage 15 years ago. So I am trying to make the car perfect.
