About your leaky valve, that seems to be a problem with the Pro Parts stuff. I have taken several of them apart and rebuild them with success but those were the original Saab heater control valves. If you still have the original one go to a hydraulic hose place and see if you can get the exact size o rings. When you take it apart be very careful make sure you pay attention to everything. The only one that I could not replace was a tiny O ring that is on the silver shaft that goes down inside of the valve. All the other ones I was able to replace and they've never leaked again. Not all of the valves are repairable I'm guessing I may have just gotten lucky. There's a piece of metal that slides over to other pieces of rubber that are not O-rings be careful not to tear those up. I just put a little vaseline on them to try and get them to swell back up a little bit. I usually take the valve and the heater core in one unit over to a radiator shop and have them put it under pressure and open and close the valve to make sure that nothing leaks anymore before I put it back in the car. Just take your time it's actually not a very hard job. Much more difficult getting the whole thing in and out of the car. And I usually put the whole unit back in in one piece.
