Hi guys,
I've been a fan of Saab since I was 17 and got my hands on my (dad's!) Cayenne red 900 SE Talladega. 8 Saabs in the family later, I'm down to a 2004 9-5 Aero, which my wife is always driving. I miss having my own Saab.
I'm thinking either a Viggen (which I feel is maybe a little close to the 9-5 Aero in feel), or going for a classic 900 Turbo. I'm a little scared by its "vintageness", seems a little prehistoric, but then again, that's all good character provided it won't leave me stranded, or poor, or both!
Spotted a southern '93 900 turbo 5 speed which looks pretty clean, no rust, with under 130k miles. Question is, can I reasonably expect it to embrace daily driver duties, or are these wonderful machines now best kept for Sunday drives?
I'm not handy / don't work on my cars, but do take really very good care of them. But also don't want to own a car that will need me spending $4k/year to keep things in top condition!
Appreciate your thoughts and inputs!
Best,
Rick
