The difference between the C900 and the NG 900 9-3 are night and day in my opinion. The engine configuration in the C900 was such that the front drive shafts were (nearly) equal length which virtually eliminated torque steer when you mash the pedal. Couple that with the double wishbone independent front suspension and you've got a very nimble and solid feeling car.
The NG900 and 9-3 had a transverse mounted engine with a side-mounted transaxle and McPherson front struts. When you mash the pedal in a Viggen, you really had to work the steering wheel to keep it in line. Taliferro made a kit that would reduce the issue, but not eliminate it.
