Central locking -- Solder reflow success 1 Saabers Like This Post! Posted by StoicBlue87 [Email] (#1829) [Profile/Gallery] (more from StoicBlue87) on Sun, 12 Aug 2018 08:18:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've had a central-lock system issue for the past couple of years on my 92 900S. It either doesn't work or works randomly where it may open all of the doors suddenly but then not lock them when I close the car up and walk away.
I pulled out the central locking module this morning, separated the board from the plastic case and carefully placed the board for ten minutes in my oven preheated to 375F.
After letting everything cool down, I connected the controller back into the wiring harness.
Success! Central locking now works.
Ten minutes at 375F seems like a good recipe as noted by previous posters here on this forum.
I'm going to now try this on my '87.
