I'm thinking that the wet plugs and spark present mean either way off on timing, as in the plug wires are not on correctly, or there is a breach in the fuel pressure regulator and it's dumping too much fuel into the cylinders.
You might pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator and suck on the hose to see if it holds vacuum and if it has a strong presence of fuel -- so, don't poison yourself, you'll know rather quickly that there is fuel passing to the intake manifold via the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
Get the flywheel timing mark on TDC and look at the distributor for the rotor pointing at the #1 plug wire. Bentley has a firing order error, it's supposed to be 1-3-4-2
