IF you mean the fancy Forged H beam rods, then yes I am. They are not a direct bolt in as the rod length between the crank diameter and the wrist pin are .030 " different. Also the rods have to have new notches cut on the big end because the SAAB rod bearings have the locking tabs opposite from Toyota.
I modified the rods and had custom forged pistons made moving the wrist pin height up .030 ".
I lost about 13ounces of weight per cylinder in reciprocating weight. Revs quicker then ever. This motor has proven to be almost bullet proof.
I used a 2.1 block and bored it .040 over to create 2167 cc. So a SAAB 900 2.2 liter
