Purchased a mini amp and some new speakers so I can retain the original Clarion receiver. The new amp requires a 30 Amp fuse. Was wondering if I could add a 30 amp fuse to the fuse panel (Bentley component 401A) under the rear seat of my 1991 convertible (no existing amp).
Not to sure if any of the wires that supply this extra fuse box can handle the current. This spare fuse box currently has a few 30 amp fuses in it. One for the rear windows, one for the front window, one for the left power seat and one for the right power seat.
If I do need to run a new wire instrad, I was thinking of feeding it through the passenger side firewall and under the carpet to where I will mount the amp under the rear seat below the metal cross member. Any suggestions?
